Figure C8c.1 Strategy document in a cycle: mission of the SPC Concept

Figure C8c.1 represents the mission using the same procedures as the vision. It allows any comparison of inputs, processes, outputs, outcomes between two levels of these different analyses. Figure C8c.2 adds a more detailed description of them in three sub-items, in a unified structure for the whole mission description.

The cycle of diagram C8c.1 says that we can not correctly identify the scope of goals (a) by setting a path or more paths (d) if we don't know what we will do and which risks and pit-holes on tracks we will have to overcome.

We must be interested in the availability (permeability) of what we plan to do (b). We have to work on details of such a plan (via different analyses, in general on studies), predict risks, and get assurance that we need financial cover. Knowledge of project costs (e) and the skill to generate needed sources are crucial data for any success of a mission in a predicted time plan time assumptions (c).

It is saying that time is money. It is true with a link to a project timing or, more precisely, to time feasibility (f) of the business content of any project. Only then can we meet the real goals (a); outlined correctly and carefully during the project preparation and implementation. This chain of mission tasks in a dialectic diagram cycle presents in Figure C8c.2. The figure is split into three segments:

  1. Financial span of mission

  2. The timespan of the mission

  3. Structure and scope of tasks of the mission
